I was getting mis-fire codes. Light was on,needed to pass smog. I replaced the plug wires and plugs. Then the coil packs. Then the MAF. I was running out of time and seemed to be wasting money. I took it to a back yard mechanic and did what he called a "baptism" by pouring a jug of water over the intake (under the plenum). He said, "hear the idle smooth out?"...I didn't, but trusted him enough to let him proceed. He had to get the seals from the dealer because none of the local auto parts stores had them. $150 for "O" rings??? $200 for his labor and the light went off, stayed off and it has been running perfect for the last year.

The tear down begins. Found an extra surprise under the lower intake.

Yes, a field mouse nest. It sat at my moms house since 2009 without running and it's very rural out there. I was surprised they could even fit in there.
