Resetting Adaptives
I have a nice sealed exhaust now and the Disco is running decent, but I have had a few issues up this point and wonder if it is worth resetting the adaptive settings. The Disco is about to become a daily driver, abet short distances 20 to 30 minutes at largely highway speeds.
Any thoughts

I don't see any downside to resetting the adaptive values in your case. It can be done as simply as disconnecting the NEG lead from the battery, and then reconnecting "a while" later.
That said, what would be the point of resetting the adaptive values? Where was the problem in your exhaust system? If it was post-cat that has nothing to do with the engine management system. And, IMO, it's unlikely that a pre-cat exhaust system problem affected the engine management system.
Plus, as you drive the truck it will continue to adapt baseline settings.
But again, I don't see a downside to resetting.

untrue. the last rover ecu that stored adaptive values in volatile memory was the 14cux
Ya, I thought that you needed a device like a Nanocom that can access and reset the adaptive values. Whenever I take my '03 D2 to a specialist I have them reset the adaptive values independently to the other work they are doing. I've replaced enough sensors here and there that I keep eyeing a Nanocom to show up under the Christmas tree.
Thanks guys my leak was upstream but took the disco to work today and she ran like a champ, I think it will let it adjust naturally. I have a foxcomm and it will reset the adaptives, but the disco seems pretty happy.
Had some major issues fixed with engine not running due to pinched wiring harness that was shorting. Also had my transmission rebuilt and while driving had some strange shifts, hiccups. After resetting the adaptives everything smoothed out. It does work but that was probably worse case for needing to reset.
