or try a new Cassette adapter... the wires inside 'em aren't the best. I've gone through quite a few.

 

ive tried 2 cassette aadaptors and neither work, as for the cleaning kit, i cannot find any on radioshack or bestbuys website so i guess ill have to wait a few days

 

Just remember that because it is not on the web site does not mean they dont have them in the store.
Radio Shack is great for that sort of thing, ask the guy who looks like hes been working there for 1,000 years, he knows where they are hiding.
