On another note, don't expect anymore than three years out of it. My drivers side catalyst broke free and rattled like a sum bitch shortly after 32 months.

Same for Magnaflow weld ins. I got 2.5 years before they started to smell pretty bad. I'm not convinced any aftermarket company makes a quality cat that will last.

I was told if it gets boxed the volume increases and prices go up. To me, still no excuse not to wrap with clear tape or some bubble wrap. Wonder if the eBay seller might be connected to the Rock Auto seller.

Well, to add insult to injury, the new exhaust does not fit. The flange on the driver side is the wrong angle. Won't mate with the manifold flange. Look at the picture and see the flange on the far left and the far right. Also look at the O2 sensor hole. Angle is off and puts the O2 sensor jammed into the chassis beam. Let me tell you how much joy I had spending all Saturday afternoon removing the old pipe, cross member, O2 sensors and bolting in this new one. Then chasing down replacement bolts, gaskets, replacing bolts that were missing altogether. Then most of Sunday removing the new pipe, crossmember, O2 sensors and re-installing the old pipe. Thanks Rock Auto. Thanks Davico.

Update: Rockauto has issued a return/refund slip for the exhaust. They requested pictures and an explanation, which I provided. I also showed them this website and the threads about the product and the shipping unprotected muffler.

I told them if they resolved the issue I would update this thread to show they assisted.

I'll follow up once a refunded is issued. I have to drive the pipes to the nearest FedEx facility which is about 30 minutes away, but I can live with that.

That's too bad to see and glad that it appears to be resolved. I don't recall any issues when the installed my MagnaFlow 20k miles ago.

I just figured out this was related to the other thread. My Davico pipes came naked as a Jay bird, too. They should be wrapped like Paul mentioned. I bet an OEM pipe arrives on a bed of silk.

Rock Auto refunded my $332 today for the Davico Y-pipe/ cats. I wanted to share what I learned about them.
1) they are a no-frills company whose main mission is to get parts from point A to point B as automated as possible. This keeps costs low. Rock Auto is a logistics company. Plain and simple. As long as you know that going in, you won't be upset if you call and they sound like they could give a crap less. They're just like wall-street type stock brokers who deal in parts instead of shares. It's only about the cold hard dollars.

2) when something goes wrong, all you can expect is to return the part. Don't expect customer service, no apology, no support. All they do is ship it to you and ship it back if needed. Just be aware of that.

Anyway, I got my dollars back so that's that. I'd buy some parts from them again - wiper blades, brake pads, small things like that, but nothing that would waste two days of my time again installing and uninstalling a Y-pipe and chasing parts.
