Default Sunroof

I have a 00 Disco 2 that has aftermarket sunroofs. Now I know some did not come with sunroofs. Can I tell if this one did come with oem sunroofs and was swapped out due to being cheaper with aftermarkets for repairs? And if aftermarkets were installed when it was a non sunroof car no chance to swap in the oem sunroof? The headliner is all messed up due to it.

Hey. Welcome.

Posting some photos is the best way to get a fast diagnoses of what's going on.

Buttons, seals etc.

Bearing in mind most headliners fall and are a pita, regardless of the sunroof.

I've never seen a Disco (Series 1 or 2) with two aftermarket sunroofs. I've seen plenty with just one in the forward position. Post pictures, especially with the front overhead console removed so we can see the sunroof motor and determine if the factory sunroof ECU was installed.

I Never saw one with out sunroofs. It's all aftermarket install. They cut up the headliner to install it looks like or make it fit if it did not have any. Here are some pic. And you can see the wonderful job. I would like to swap them with oem if I could.

So I'm not sure if the disco came stock with at least the front sunroof and had aftermarkets replaced due to cheaper for fixing? I don't see why it would not have had sunroofs its a 7 seater would not think it would skip with sunroofs

Definitely not much that's OEM beyond the front switch assembly.

The front is not an original Land Rover sunroof. The glass is entirely different. If you want, when you come up, you can compare what's in your truck to what Land Rover actually installed. I would be surprised if the dimensions of the cutout are even the same.

You don't have the original sunroof ecu up under the overhead console, I can't see the motors but I doubt they'll be the same and the rear never had a sunroof what with the way the switch is just installed the way it is.

Yea I knew they were aftermarket the second I really looked at them. The stocks have the 2 mount caps on each side. I would hope the hole is close to a oem one to swap out.
