Default Roof Rack Options

Does anyone have feedback for the standard crossbars for a disco II? I am probably going to go with the Contractor RoverRack, but wanted to see if the standard crossbars worked well for them.

Also, does anyone have any feedback on the RoverRacks?

I have their ladder and it is very nicely built.

The roof racks do not mount to the cross bars on the roof, they mount to the rain gutter.

I've never heard a bad review of rover racks, I think you'll be very happy with their roof rack. They sure look great IMO.
Oh yeah, and you don't need to worry about the cross bars, like spike said.

Standard cross bars seem to be NLA, and super-spendy when/if you scare up a used set. Have been looking for over a year, only two sets have come up, one at a price I didn't like the other I was too late for...

If I was buying a new roof rack for my discovery, it would be a baja rack.

Ditto. Those are sweet and pretty affordable.

Default baja vs roverracks

id go with the roverracks rack. the baja does not look as good, the powder coat is not as thick and not as strong. iv seen many of the roverracks roof carries in action, they had a ton of weight up there with a tent and three people inside. the baja is a little less by like a hundred bucks but you get what you pay for.

Curious to know what your experience is with a Baja Rack?
