You will not notice your front driveshaft going bad until it grenades and takes out your $7,000 transmission.

You need new plugs and wires, as already mentioned, Magnecor or LR wires only.
When I bought my DI in April '07 I didnt know about the Magnecor wires, used Duralast wires...I am on my third set and need a fourth after only a month on the third set.
I am selling plasma so that I can buy the Magnecors, and other things I want/need for my truck.

i bought universal 8mm MSD wires and cut them myself, they run way better than all the other ive had on the truck. Aslo the factory plug are by far the best but costly. the firing line jumps up way high with the bosch 4 plats, and as easy as the plugs are to change i run an el cheapo ngk one down in heat range and found the best milage.

Black Bear,
I wouldn't go throwing too much money at it till you have a better idea of the cause. Yes, crap wires will cause it, and they will throw codes that you say you don't have. A set of 8 mm Magnacor wires will be in order but may not be the cause for your problem.
As for the drive shaft, yes it is a huge problem and should be delt with, but here again, it won't feel like a misfire.
I would suggest you drive it a little and see if you can then better describe what the truck is doing.
By the way, do deal with the drive shaft, Tom Woods is great for a new replacement or you can order 2 u-joints, Percision 344's and a centering ball kit, Percision 617's and get it rebuilt for a total cost of about $200.
