FYI...I went to Chevron yesterday to fill up.

Started perfectly fine this morning!

A friend of mine said he's been getting gas at that same Maverik station and it has been making his engine ping.
Sounds like it was the quality of gas...hopefully that's all it was!!!!

All the gas sold in Phoenix and on the rim where you're at comes from the same tank farm in Phoenix. I used to haul fuel down there. The only difference is the additives that are mixed in when the fuel is loaded on the trucks. Maverik probably doesn't add anything to their fuel so they can sell it cheaper. Some vehicles run just fine on cheap gas and others are a lot more picky.

Another thing to consider AK, discount gas stations dont sell that much premium, so it goes stail in the ground.
You get what you pay for.
