I have a 1999 discovery 2, I was headed to work the other day and it just died. stopped on the road door dinger was working doom lights on. can't roll Windows up. turn the key on no dash lights, nothin. stuck in p ark. need some help....ignition? maybe I don't know.

 

Have you checked the voltage on the Battery?

 

Before you jump start it, be sure to hold down the hood alarm switch. Alarm does not like to be awakened, and can immobilize vehicle. If alternator is weak, it won't charge battery enough and you will basically exhaust the reserve minutes of the battery and everything electric stops. Across the battery terminals, when at idle, should be13.8-14.4 volts. 13.2 absolute minumum when truck is running or you are not charging the battery.
