Default S and M lights flashing and code P0741 what should I do?

Hi guys! Today I started my freshly rebuild engine on my 00 DII. It runs like a charm and everything on it works excellent. After breaking in the camshaft I took it out for a test drive but after a while I notice that I was really needed to step on the gas to move untill I reached a point where I was not going forward anymore. The S and M lights came on and started flashing a long with the shift indicator on the shifter. I ran the scanner on her and got a P0741 code that as I understand it means the torque has problems. I tried with a new battery and turning on and off, but had no change and I can only engage the reverse and move, but not forward. Can you guys help me figuring out what is going on? I am okay about purchasing a new trans since I invested so much money on the rebuild, but before that I don't want to make the expense without trouble shooting it correctly.
Thank you

Check your battery terminals. Mine were a bit rigged and loose and s and m came on sporadically. I replaced them with solid terminals and haven't seen s and m in over a year. Forgot where I read to check this. Hope that's all it is

Alternator not working? Mine died on the road once and all those lights came on flashing.
