Salt + Neglect = Rusty Disco :(

Salt + Neglect = Rusty Disco :(
Just wanted to introduce my new Disco II project which I hope to revive back to its glory. There's a little intro speech in the introduction section, but long story short I bought a Disco sight unseen in NY that was abandoned for 2 years by its owner at a storage facility. The two years in the Upstate NY winter beat the under carriage up pretty well. I drove the Disco to NV from NY and started wrenching. I figured if I'm gonna get my feet wet with this thing, I might as well go swimming and tear into it!
Here she is on the road trip back, Background is Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX
I made a stop down in Indiana at a friends shop to have the oil changed since I'm sure it had been quite a while. When we put it up on the lift we noticed the two front coils were cracked, the rear SLS wasn't working (obvious by the ride height), the rear calipers were frozen open and barely working, and the Passenger side exhaust manifold was cracked (obvious by the audible exhaust leak.) With that said I knew I had my work cut out for me. I found a local guy parting out a couple Disco's in my area. I pulled a full set of coils, rear brake calipers, Hurricane wheels, and a new exhaust manifold.
I got it pulled in the garage and laid out all the loot
After hours of beating on the wheels to break the alloy steel fusion of the wheels to the rotors, I was able to finally remove the damaged coils
And thanks to the donor Disco, New coil, shock, bolts, and shock tower
I haven't tackled it yet, but next up is a air to coil swap...
Here's how she sits today-
Oh, and can't forget about my three little friends...

The rust has been flaked off and wire brushed as much as I could with the limited space. I really don't have the time and resources to sand blast it like it should be. The undercoating is a product similar to POR15, I forget what it's called but it's guaranteed to stop rust and seal the metal. Who knows if it works, but I do know the truck has been removed from the conditions that caused the damage in the first place. Only time will tell...
