Default Saying goodbye to my Disco II

So the time finally came, my Disco that I bought two years ago dead along someone's house has been sold. I really loved the vehicle, and its off road ability was quite impressive for the vehicle it is. A good friend of mine has been looking at it for a while now and since I know it was going to a good home, it became his yesterday. This thing was picked up with a blown head gasket, and many other problems, but between junk yard runs, and online purchases it ended up with a mostly perfect interior, (new headliner, seat covers, steering wheel, power locks, power windows, etc.) and running gear (head gaskets, water pump, saudi thermostat, radiator, transfer case cable, master cylinder, option B for the 3 amigos, y pipe with cats, new rotoflex, new front driveshaft, and every fluid changed). It still got some cosmetic love in the shape of new tires, a 2 inch TF lift with TF shocks, an ARB bumper and modifying a Range Rover sport grill to fit. At the end of the day I feel I had a great Disco and I know it is headed to a great home, he will probably end up on this forum. As for me, I am off to a 06 Range Rover Sport with the supercharged V8 for the next Land Rover toy.

Sounds like your friend got a well sorted Discovery. Good luck, in your new endeavor.

I assume just the 180 degree stat. I think it was originally made for the TD5 D2.

Nothing special, it's a standard TD5 stat.
