no permit needed. other guy on the lease with me is the local game warden (great deterrent for deer poachers). he frowns on the human hunts, so no worries there, either.

any preference, on the bang? I figure Bill will want the m1a or m21. that leaves a few custom bolt rifles, aks, ars, hand cannons, nunchucks, dart gun, throwing star, or my favorite......a dull spoon. or it can just be a surprise.

I'll go with bare hands.

But if that fails what kind of handguns do you have? I figure I'd take something powerful enough to take one down.

This will be kind of cool, a meetup of LR Forum members. I'm coming up from Houston on Wednesday and staying through Sunday. This will be my first time attending. There are several other members of the Houston LR Club coming as well.

If you see this old guy with the grey beard and a safari hat who sort of looks like Hemingway it's me. Be sure to say hi!

I'll see if i can find some talons, to strap on your thumbs.
too many handguns to go through
I like a .45 or 9 for hunt companion but just quick back up for the ones that sneak up from behind. only taken 2pigs with handgun....and one was coming at me and the other was less than 20yds (9 and up are fine for that, but that is rare). 45lc wild west style single action is my most powerful (good for high noon showdown not so much for hunting) .45 fnp tactical with optics and light is closest thing to a hunting handgun that I have (not really into dirty harry stuff, sorry). still rather use rifle and have that for just in case.

I'm not very worried about one jumping up at me, as I'll be moving at a steady 12mph on the roof of your disco.
