Lived in Texas for 34 years and seen hogs but never hunted them as I mostly hunt waterfowl.
I guess shotgun slugs would work? I shoot both 10 and 12 gauge.
Once when I was younger and not so smart about hunting regulations I shot two 10 gauge rifled slugs into a flock of snow geese that were probably 500 yards away. I set my sights about 15 ft above the flock as they fed on the ground to allow for the fall in the trajectory. My double barrel gun went BANG! BANG! and a second later all the geese flew up in a frenzy and dispersed to other fields. . I walked out into the field and picked up 9 big snows. I think the slugs had a bowling ball effect.
Hope there aren't any Texas game wardens on this tread!
