Default Thank you Land Rover community

So here’s the great news: so I swapped back the old champion plugs and Bosch coils with the new oem Bosch wires I bought and bam ! Started up like nothing ever happened !!! The coils and plugs from god knows were almost blew up my rover ! Word of advice to whoever reads this just buy the oem parts the first time or end up tearing down the engine multiple times chasing misfires ! I learned my lesson for sure . Thank you guys so much !

Also these guys didn’t even send my wires that were suppose to come with the kit . The reason behind why I bought oem Bosch wires from local parts store . Just all around screwed me over big time ! Stay away from Reginald auto parts on eBay . Grab the oem if you’re going for parts or just locate a reputable seller like Atlantic British . I’m sure every one here knows but just a word of advice for newbies like my self !

This 1000 times. I had to do my plug/sparkplug/coil refresh three times because of crap aftermarket parts. I got the Bosch coil packs but it was the plugs and wires that was my issue. I tried all the recommended aftermarket manufacturers here but I ended up with the standard Champion plugs and OE wires. That wires hurt due to the price, but no problems at since using OE.

Never even heard of that junk before yikes!! NGK for plugs, Kingsborne for wires, and Bosch for coil packs.

Best4x4, I used to use Kingsborne with good results.

FYI/FWIW, the Karlyn STI 8mm wires (663 for D1, 721 for D2/P38) have become my 'go to'. Easy to find at Rock or Amazon, cheaper (in the great tradition of cheap-*** Disco owners) and they seem to work very well.

Fully agree on plugs and coils.
