FWIW, I had it listed for $20K for about five days, crickets, and then made it $15K and got a flood of interest almost instantly.

interesting but hey at least it sold, I'm surprised nobody even made an offer for like 17k or 18k, something like that. Anyway I'm happy for you that it sold.

Hey everybody,
I am the fellow who went up to from LA and bought the 2004.

I was planning on waxing poetic about how I came to buy the Disco but I think that maybe bullets would be more to the point.
  • Wanted a vehicle with a hitch for mtb.
  • Wanted durable for camping and riding in out of the way places.
  • Had discounted Land Rovers due to FUD
  • Felt negligent for not including them and others as base line. (I buy based on spreadsheet to prevent emotional purchases.)
  • Brandons ad convinced me that he cared for and respected the machine. I felt he was not trying to pawn off problems on me.
  • I stared and stared at the images and realized, it was exactly what I wanted.
  • I never saw it at 20k, my price for Discos was maxed/filtered at 16k incase of bad engine.
  • I showed my wife and clearly stated that I need to get that for her. (It mine, but... ours...) may need 2.
  • No haggle, No fuss, I reached out and we chatted. I bought a train ticket to go up as soon as would work for us.
  • Loved the drive home, she purs, she growls, I love this Disco now.
I am far from competent with the vehicle but I plan on maintaining it to the same schedule Brandon did. I will on focusing on minor cosmetics and basic maintance at first while I learn about the inner workings.

I am glad I purchased this from Brandon, he has already helped more than any dealer would have; I have a lot of reading to do, and someone to turn to when I lack understanding.

I hope to grow with and contribute to the community as time goes on.

Welcome to the Disco community. This is why I bought my third one recently- I missed the community. I’d be pretty positive the guy who bought my last one would say the same about me and the truck he bought (and that I should never have sold).

You WILL have issues, but the people who are addicted to these machines will help you through. You will hate it at times, but you’ll love it more after you get through the rough parts.

Now go download the Rave and have fun with bed time reading.

Thanks for the welcomes,

I am glad I found a community of enthusiasts, not sure flying solo would be as much fun.
I found these forums through this thread, I was wondering what model *A* Disco was. I quickly realized it was talking about the one I wanted to buy and was hoping with every post no one talked him out of selling it.
