Question Selling my Disco

So allas the day has come. Since going to college next year and i will be commuting my parents said that i have to sell the discovery and get a more fuel efficient car. I've decided to get an audi a4.My question is how much should i sell my disco for kbb is saying 7500 but id rather get a second opinion here to see if i could maybe get more.

My disco: its a 2002 se7 with 130k miles on it doesn't have any problems except the fact the corner of the rear bumper is cracked where someone did a hit and run on me in a parking lot. and also that the rear door doesn't unlock/lock. It has every option available except for sls and ace. I will be selling from my step dads dealer ship and he's going to give me the full money for it so maybe i could get dealership price for it

So if anyone could give me some insight on how much i should expect to get for it that would be great!

(The Disco has completed Mike's service guide sticky)

$7,500 seems about right. If not a little high for an '02. That's closer to '04 money, but someone just might pay it...

Only someone who has done no research and no shopping around will pay $7500.

It's not going to get blue book with any un-repaired damage. The rear bumpers are the same from 1999-2002 (and 2003-2004 too if they didn't have park distance sensors).

I sold my 03 with ARB, winch, 3" lift, 33" tires, Greg Davis rear bumper, and similar miles for $5000.

I found a salvage yard with a few disco 2s I'm going to try to pull parts on them to fix the bumper

Why not save $10K and get the Jetta. You can put the audi badge on it and it'll be pretty much the same vehicle if the brand bugs you.

passat not jetta...the a4 shares underpinnings with the passat, the jetta is closer to an a3

I bought mine 03 for 1500. Sell it for what you would pay for it.

I paid $3,600 for my '02 SE7 less than a year ago(140k). I guess where you live dictates the price. I would not pay more than $6k for an '04 much less an '02. Good luck.

I would put it up for sale for $5,500 and then let someone talk you down to $5,000.
They will think they got a good deal by getting 500 off and you will get pretty much the top price possible for a D2 with of that year, mileage and damage.
