Default Service Engine Light on 98

I went to the auto store tonight and purchased a actron diagnostics scanner because my service engine light is on. Hooked it up and it tells me that nothing is wrong. I thought maybe I did something wrong, so I drove it and hooked it back up and it still says nothing that there is nothing wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions? My disco has 93g on it,if that matters. The LR manual sas that between 50g and 80g that light will come on. Something about emissions.

That particular wrning light is a service related warning light. Time to look at your engine tune related stuff, make it all right then turn the light off.
I believe you will find a relay type box, in the passangers kick panel, that has a Rover emblym on it. Should be able to push a wire, like a paper clip, thru the middle of the emblym and reset the timer to come on again many years from now.

Thanks Mike, After I posted the message I kinda felt stupid. I had a car that every 3000 miles or so I had to reset the service engine light. I guess I was just worried, it's the 1st land rover I've owned.

Also about the rear windows, mine both got sticky for a while in the back then quit- both down all the way- want totry cleaning that circuit board u mentioned- is it underneath where the main window switches are? For the service light, look behind the passanger kick panel for a orange relay with a Rover emblym on it. There will be a pin hole on the top of the relay that you must stick a paper clip wire into while the engine is running, this will short the switch resetting it for another 80,000 plus miles.
I believe the body control euc for your year D1 is under the dash to the side of the glove box, I think.
