Default She STOPPED AGAIN!!!

My baby Lisa has suddenly stopped again! My wife was driving and she mentioned the battery light came on with a green M light blinking too. The interior lights all work perfectly but nothing when I turn the key over. I'm hesitant to blame it on the battery but I'm clueless at this point.

Check the facts below

2000 Land Rover discovery named Lisa
155k miles
Crank shaft sensor replaced April 2015
Coils & sparks & wires replaced February 2015
Supposedly a new battery January 2015 (buying a car in Puerto Rico is a joke)

Clearly the fact that stands out the most is her name, Lisa. It's known to be problematic, only second to Candy. Find a new name(battery) and all should be good.

Try checking your battery voltage with a multimeter. If you get a reading over 12v, have someone turn the key to the crank position and see if the voltage drops below 11v or so. If so, the battery is no good. If not, check the voltage on the other end of the pos. battery cable, at the starter. If you have good voltage there, check it while cranking. If it drops significantly, there is a problem with the cable.
Good luck.

yes, have the battery and alternator checked. i think you will find an Alt. problem even with a bad battery the alt. should have kept it running

Is below a bad enough case of corrosion to cause the problem?!

That looks like a possibility. I have seen a few over the years that look fine externally, but somewhere under the insulation, the wire goes bad. Usually, it happens on the ends, but not always. Certainly clean it up, but keep that in mind.
Good luck.
You'll get it going!

I had the exact thing happen recently. Out of the blue, no battery issues previous.

Lucky I had my Ultra Gauge plugged in and thought I'd check codes just for kicks...

There was a security system code, cant remember which... Cleared that code and it started right up.

I must have done something odd when locking the truck with the fob... Not sure if that is what is known as "super lock" or not...

Or else someone actually tried to steal it!!!

I think I have an alternator issue!

I replaced the battery and she started!... But the battery light is still on.

I drive her around with the battery light still on for the next day.

The following day during date night with the wife she dies again!

It's gotta be bad cables or wiring orrrrr the alternator right?!

I had same thing happen while back, but all cables were in perfect shape, it was the alternator,!
My Battery was good so truck never stalled, but when checked with scanner I had at least 6 diff codes, and with truck running it would read only 11volts, truck off only 11.7,,,
Replaced alternator & everything ok again , truck off 12.6 volts & running 13.5-13.7,,,
Cleared codes & none came back,
