Just how long after a brake fluid bottle is opened will it last on the shelf before the chances of it being hydro****ed are too high? and is there an indicator, like a change in color or smell or what have you to know when that might be the case with an opened bottle?

 

I have always heard/followed the 90 day rule. After 90 days dispose of it.

 

if it was previously opened, then sealed back with lid back on. researched a couple years ago, when I was doing some work truck maintenance. 1.5-2 years is what I came up with. even though it attracts moisture, it can not not produce it.
