Default Shifter illumination repair? 2004 = leds

Has any one fixed their lights not coming on on the shifter? What did you do?

You can not just replace bulbs as these are led. See pic.

Those little squares are the lights and idk how to fix

I just snagged on from the junk yard. Cost me like $5.00 for the whole shift cowl.

typically, these do not go bad. They usually have caked on coffee spills, or someone broke the connector. If all looks good physically, you might try cleaning carefully with Q tips and alcohol......

If you're handy with a soldering iron they can be replaced fairly easily. I've seen people change out leds on entire dash clusters on other vehicles to customize them. Shouldn't be too hard to get new leds.
