Im seriously considering a 1999 Land Rover Discovery Series II. I took it for a test drive and it sounded ok. There was a little bit of noise that concerned me. There seemed to be some ratteling at high speeds. Does anyone have any idea of what that is? Other than that what are the common problems with these cars?

 

You are going to need to be alot more descriptive if you want any good feed back. Where is the noise, what does it sound like.
Don't buy a truck based on it sounded OK, I have a 99 also, love the truck, and would suggest you have it inspected by a shop that knows what to look for.

it is a 1999 Land Rovery Discovery Series II. It has a little bit under 90K miles on it. The sound is a ratteling noise coming from the left side Im not really sure that I could pinpoint its location any better than that. Getting it looked at by a shop sounds like a good idea, where would I go to find a shop that knows what they are doing.
