Default Should I get an 03 or 04 Disco?

Is their any difference’s between a disco 03 and 04? Looking for a new or slightly used one with what i think are some important options.

SE
Rear Air-Conditioning
Self-Leveling Suspension
Cold Climate Package

Any advice is appreciated. This ride will be a city ride and a serious weekend trekking machine here in New England.

Hi !
LRE magazine UK (Land Rover Enthusiast) will publish an interesting article in their November 04 issue. Might be worth reading.
If I were you, I would go for the latest model since Ford has been doing some real hard wrist slapping (read: belly punching) about quality issues in Solihull and that might make a difference!

Regds,

Takeo.

Hey Thompson,

I just picked up an '04. I was looking at an '03 with really low miles as well, so I asked the LR dealer what the difference was. He said the only difference between the '03 and '04 was the factory roof rails. The '04's are beefer and round. Other than that he said they were the same. I went with the '04 because they were discounting them a ton with the LR3's in. I was able to get a new '04 for only a couple of grand more than the '03 with 20K on it. No brainer as far as I was concerned.

Best of luck with your decision.

The question made me blow milk out my nose! Shouldn't read this stuff while eating cereal...
04', no question. 03 is the red headed stepchild. 04 has your CDL... Has the 4.6 like 03' but without the hit the reputation took with the oil pump debacle the 03' is so likened with. 04' final year and lots of one only things make it a better investment (as if LR could ever be called that)
Btw- I have an 03 and I wrench on these by way of career so if I'd known then what I know now........ Well, I'd have just fixed up my classic . But seriously, the 04 is what I'd have searched out. I've had her 5 years now and have addressed everything I know of and including the 04' goodies. CDL is en route as I type this..
Good luck on finding a good 04, post a pic when ya get her
