Are the side view mirrors on the Discovery 1 and Discovery 2 the same? In other words, can I purchase a D1 side view mirror and install it on my D2? They look the same in pictures.

 

As far as I know the connectors are totally different. They look the same on the outside, but have different harnesses.

 

If that's the case, you should be able to splice the d2 connector on to the dance mirror with a little testing. If you could find the pin-out on both it would be super easy.

That said, maybe more work than it's worth. Especially since you'd be getting an older part. I dunno the pice difference, but that's my 2¢
