Default A simple solution and a dumb problem.

So, couple of minor things I thought I'd share:
I'v been fighting with the windshield wipers, they were not contacting well and were just being generally frustrating. I put new wipers on and they still sucked.
So in frustration I took the arms right off to see what I could do.
Didn't need to take them off, but I did learn a useful and in retrospect obvious solution.
The joints in them get stiff (duh) and are improved by lubrication. A little penetrating oil on both and a huge improvement!
So that's good to know.

Second one, and this is just me airing my frustration. The infinite winter here has caused me to learn a new vulnerability with the truck. When it's cold enough for long enough water dripping from the windshield down the corners to the space between the doors and the fenders can fill the entire cavity with a solid block of ice.
So glad I didn't just force the door open, would have done damage I'm sure.
Had to thaw it out with my "heat gun" (by Revlon) so I could open the doors.

So there's that.

Good one Fallstaff. I use the motorbike chain wax for lubricating the wiper arm pin joints as it doesn't melt and is unaffected by water.

I use a Revlon heat gun too, yep defo, I use it for curling my hair all one of them
