Default Slipped sleeve in Cannibal V8

how this loud ticking noise on my D2. To me is sounded like it was coming from the head gasket. Took it to my independent shop and they are telling me it is a shipped sleeve.

Is that even possible? The reason I chose a Cannibal v8 was because it supposedly has top hat sleeves and fixes the issue of slipped sleeves.

They will charge me to tear it down to the head to prove they are right. I want to know I am right before I pay that.

I wish I could find a shop that does the LS swap in georgia

if your block is cracked it will still leak on the liner, if your liner is top hat then it will not move and will not slide up and down which would not cause a tick,

So it can’t slip and they want you to pay to find out ?? Tell them to watch the video below

Because they all made it out of warranty before they overheated.

You have to prove they knew it was a significant issue, and anecdotal evidence aside even we do not know how wide spread cracks in blocks or liner issues are. It is also not a safety issue which makes it very hard to prosecute.

I have never heard one good thing about Cannibal. Ever. Sorry you're having to deal with this.
