Default SLS Compressor

So my SLS airbag suspension is breathing its last days and I am going to convert to springs. I have found the kit I want and have read up and watched several videos leading me to believe I can do almost all of it by myself. However, I find that the SLS Compressor will have to be turned off by the dealer. Is there anyway I can get that thing turned off without taking the Landy in?

you can turn the compressor off but you will get SLS waring lights, either the dealer or someone with a bearmach Hawkeye scanner can set your BCU to see your truck as a coil spring unit, that will shut off all the SLS stuff without having warning lights. Hope this helps.

That is really helpful but if I am ok with have the SLS light on, how do I turn off the compressor?

"I" would just disconnect the electrical plugs going into the side of the compressor under my truck? I'm sure you and also pull fuses and relays, but I would would try the easy first; it's also the easy to reverse. The compressor is mounted in a box under the truck below the drivers seat.

Agreed, you can pull the underhood fuse and relay's related to SLS, and/or take off the cover of the compressor and unplug the 3 connectors. If you don't plan on keeping the system intact, just take out the two bolts holding in and you shaved a few pounds off the truck.

Thanks guys, this is cool to know, should definitely save me some dough. Final question (knock on wood), how do I tell which fuses are relays are related to the SLS?

How do I tell which relays and fuses to pull though? Are the fuses in the large fuse box in the engine compartment?

there are fuses and relays but why not leave them in tack, you never know what else could be on those fuses and relays. Just pull the plugs, take out the two bolts off the compressor and ship it off to me as a spare.
