so I think I found the problem, I was about to start filling and bleeding the system but when I started to unscrew the bleeder screw, the head sheared right off! my guess is the extra highway driving and heat helped finish it off. After a little more examination it looks like the radiator right there is where the fluid was leaking (judging by the stains). So I am going to replace that and refill the system then have it checked.
