Default small coolant loss

I am leaking a very small amount of coolant at the rear of the motor. The coolant drips onto the front shaft, and sometimes down to the ground (teaspoon amount) or less. I know about pressure checking to be sure, but what are the chances of a heater core leaking directly to the engine compartment?

Two hoses that feed the core run along right side of engine.....so it's possible
So is a small weep between the head and block at the back of the engine... Gotta chase it down

I have a feeling that it could be a head gasket failure. I was just hoping that it was something else. Anything. Oh well....rich man's toy. Definitely will feel the wrath of my wife. Yikes !!!
