Default Snowtires, pulling to one side.

Put my snow tires on yesterday and now under accel it pulls hard to one side. I swapped sides and it pulled to the other side. I do have a TT in the front diff, and I did make sure they're both at exactly the same pressure.

Ideas?

Put those tires on the back and the back on the front and it should go away. If not then you have a bad tire.

I'm assuming that, but what about them would cause this?

I dont know, just whatever makes tires bad. The cords not being properly placed inside the tire? If you just bought them I would go back and make them replace it under warranty.

My tire guy calls it "radial pull". It happened with my old Goodyearsas they became worn. I thought it was the allignment making mine pull to the right, but new tires made the problem go away. I agree that you should return the tire if you just bought it.

Radial Pull, Snake Belt or Separated Tread are all terms for what you have. I would suggest you try and get that one tire warrantied. I also have a T.T. in the front and with my 265's, I have never experienced that unless I let one tire get a little low on air.

True Trac is a geared differental that locks and unlocks on it own, no clutches or plates. It is made by the same company the makes the Detroit Locker, just as heavy duty, just doesn't require a set of HD axles as the Detroit does. It also alows you to turn when engaged where a ARB won't.
I run a Detroit in the rear and a T.T. in the front for what I believe gives me all the traction I will need without having to lock and unlock as you must with ARB lockers.
