Default So the roof corners finally started to leak...

I know many have had this issue, but I never did on the 00 and it just started to happen on the 04. It looks like it was addressed by the previous owner at some point, but hard to tell. no cracking of the paint up top and the windshield has not been replaced. Before I go digging into this, would love any tips on the process. I read through the TSB, but not sure if there is another preferred way. The RAVE didn't give me too much, and I was looking to see if there are drains on the front. If so, I need to blow those out first. Otherwise, I'm just going to go the black sealant route...just trying to figure out where exactly to put the sealant. Any tips would be great and thanks!

My 03 got hit this way on the Driver side about a year ago. I cleaned the area then applied a smooth coat of black RTV. no issues since then. well no issues with that leak anyway. took all of about 30 minutes.

Did you just fill all the areas? I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to plug up a drain or not.

Ive been confused about this as well. Do you need to open the sunroof and clean , caulk there or the outside gap between the window and the roof. My thought is that I would not be able to open the front sunroof again.

We just did both our sunroofs by completely removing them and resealing the drain boxes on each corner, cleaning out the tubes with compressed air and greasing the slides. When we reinstalled them we cleaned the roof and sunroof frame and sealed them together with RTV sealant. There are a few design flaws with the sunroof that I tried to fix as well like the boxes in the corner don' t go right to the top of the frame so if the tube gets block and there is excessive water it will spill over onto the head liner. I sealed these right off so this won't happen. I also noticed leaking through were the motor mounts to the frame work and we sealed that as well and rebuilt the motor. We now should be good for a few years as long as the drain tubes are ckeaned regularly.
