Default Water leak on passanger floor

About a month ago I was on a trip to San Antonio, I stopped for gas and while I was taking trash out of my car I noticed my passenger side floor was socking wet under the mat. I know this means something but am clueless on how to go about fixing it. Could some one please help, my ac is not getting as cold maybe working at about 80% cold in this Texas heat, which maybe related not sure...

Does anyone know what part malfunctioned exactly, what affects or drawbacks will I have to deal with and how do I fix this problem. Your help is appreciated.

May not be the heater core. It could also be your A/C drain lines are plugged. You have to crawl under the truck and squeaze the tubes or run a coat hanger or something up in them. Be prepared to have all kinds of disgusting crap come flowing out and on to you.

After running in this heat in Central and South Texas you should see a pool of water under your truck when you stop. If no water then most likely your drain lines are clogged.

Well, it was hot outside and the floor sometimes is warm because the truck is running so I can't say. I do remember heat but it could be from either one of these things.

Bad advice, you should never by-pass the heater core because it can cause the engine to over heat.

First thing you always do is to rub some of the fluid on your fingers and see if it is clear water or oily like coolant.
If water then as already mentioned unplug your water nipples so they flow again.

Well my truck is running a little hotter then usual right now, could my heater core failure be the reason for that? Recently nothing else has changed and it ran cooler before. After cleaning that nipple what's next?

You can usually tell easily if its heater core if you soak up some off the floorboard with a white paper towel. If its not clear it's definantly heater core.
