Default Something strange with my brake light

Had a break light that was out so I changed the bulb and now it comes on, but only when the headlights are off. Has anybody seen anything like this and if so any clues as to what may be the issue and fix?

Check the bulb socket for corrosion or bad ground. Brake light is probably grounding through the parking light circuit while off, if ground circuit has been lost or corrosion has compromised connection. Make sure you have the right style bulb, too.

I had some funky taillight issues when the ground nut came unscrewed from inside the rear passenger side vertical pillar behind the plastic vent panel.

Thanks, it doesn’t look corroded, but you can never tell. I will try some contact cleaner and see if that helps as well as test the grounds.
