Every time I'm near the DII before starting it I can hear a sound kinda like ekekekekek... After listening under the hood I found it coming from the ABS modulator. Is this normal? It sounds like a time bomb! It's always making this noise even first thing in the morning when all is quite outside I can hear the sound like a dying bird.

Yup, normal. I have to put my ear near it, to hear it when the car is off but it's there 24/7

It's really strange they do that. Noticed mine one evening when it was quiet. Seems like unnecessary wear and tear on that device. No wonder the ABS goes out on these.
