I have used Champion exclusively for 50 yrs., until I bought new MINIs and my 2011 LR4. I use Denso Iridiums in the newer vehicles. 100,000 mile spark plug changes, I don't think so. Regular plugs are guaranteed for 2 yrs., Platinum and Iridiums for 3 yrs. Change my regular plugs every other year, Iridiums 60K or 3 yrs.

 

What are the LR made from? Do you know? I will look it up. I have the $60 Napa semi-metallic which aren't premium at all, and I have zero brake dust and zero noise. I guess they get better as you go up to ceramic, carbon ceramic and metallic but the Akebono ceramic are about the most expensive

The Akebonos are made in America specifically for the make of each European vehicle but will ultimately create a serious dent in the wallet!

I'm running some Power Stop Rotors/Pads on my Kalahari. Stop great barely any dust and absolutely no noise!!

My dad got 110K out of his 02 Chevy Tahoe brake pads. They still had at least 1/4 of pad left when he changed them. They were Delphi Ceramic pads. My H3 Alpha had them on it as well. I changed them at 90K.

Spark Plug wise (Non LR) I changed my H3 Alpha's plugs out at 115K and they were the OEM plugs and still looked good. Double Platinum/Iridium Plugs can easily go 100K. Our LR's run rich so mileage may vary, but they'll certainly last longer than copper plugs!
