im wanting to upgrade to aftermarket speakers but want to keep it looking stock. is it possible to replace the amp under the seat with an aftermarket or is it powerful enough to power the new speakers? also want to keep my head unit stock if possible to me an aftermarket head unit just doesn't look good to me.

 

I ended up swapping my head unit to a Kenwood. It has the option to change the colors to match the factory green that goes with the rest of the gauges. As for the amp, you'll probably want to swap it. I'm replacing my factory amp with an aftermarket 4 channel, and will try to fit it under my seat. I can take pictures if you're interested.

 

I would change out the speakers and leave the amp alone, it will be more then enough for your needs.

 

If the factory amp is enough then I won't worry about a new up until later on. But I know the rear tail gate has a weird size sub. But are he back 2 passenger doors the same size as the speakers in the front 2 doors. (I'm talking about the bigger ones not the small ones on the upper part of the door. What size are the smaller ones also crutchfield Could not find them.

 

Not sure the size but I do know the bigger ones are the same size, because I replaced both sets with the same size Rockford Fosgates a few months ago.

 

A friend of mine has Rockford's in her jeep and they sound really good in there. (shame she doesn't love rovers) and they sounded really good so i was looking at those and infinities.
