Spent the day fishing my D2 keys from a storm drain!
Met up with my family today to spend some quality time together before I leave for Alaska this coming Wednesday... But after accidentally dropping my keys down the storm drain that quality time consisted of 3.5 hours trying to recovery my keys from a storm drain. Of ocurse this had to happen at a public park so lots of strangers passing by hovered around in curiosity. Called the fire station and we had 4 fire fighters try their best to get my keys out but the drain was at least 12 feet deep and a mix of nasty water and rotted leaves and silt convinced them that my keys were lost. Hours after they left a kind stranger came over with a powerful magnet and together with a 10 foot PVC pole we finally retrieved my keys. I was sure the key fob was toast after being submerged under storm drain water for hours - but it still works and fortunately my key was made of steel or iron because the magnet picked it up! What a ****ty way to spend quality time with family. So I guess Land Rover electronics are not that bad after all!

I dropped mine in a creek not a week ago where they spent a decent amount of time so I could get my boots and a flash light. Pulled em out and my fob still worked too! Some parts of these trucks they made for just anything.
