Sport mode MPG
Okay just ran through a tank of 93 octane gas on sport mode and I got 432 miles and that is with the 3" lift and front and rear HD bumpers. I have never seen over 350 on a full tank before. I got a little over 17 MPG!!! I just filled up again with 93 octane and will run it out of sport mode to see the difference in MPG. I still cannot believe that I got over 400 miles, that has never happened before. I will post the other data when the gas light comes on.
Going to press that little button tomorrow.
Is the majority of your driving stop and go, or highway?
Either way that is impressive. Any idea why?
I realize that sport mode holds gears and may strain our parts, but I can't imagine it being that much of an issue?
As long as we don't drive our Land Rovers like they are a 911, we should be ok?

When driving around town, I keep it in sport mode, and get significantly better mileage also. I was told this hint by Trevor at roverlab. Iirc he said it has to do with the transmission shifting less, thereby a lifted truck with bigger tires stays in the optimal powerband more, and not lugging the engine at lower rpm's

I ran sport mode consectutively for a few tanks and saw a drop in miliage of about a half to 1.5mpg every tank, doing the same routine and same pedal pressure. I'll post the data when I get home tonight if anyone cares to see. Also did "3rd" instead of D tests and a few others.
