Check the mount on the hood latch and see if it's loose, look for wear on the lower half.

Did a cooling system pressure test- lost pressure fairly quick and noticed water dribbling out from behind the pass side block and down onto front drive shaft so looks like a blown head gasket, but to me it seems like a minor leak so I'm thinking i could probably just get an entire gasket/rebuild kit without worrying too much about taking anything to a machine shop.. thoughts/ opinions on that?

I had the same leak. Another possible source is the valley gasket. I did the valley gasket and that wasn't it. A year later I did the head gaskets and some more (cam, lifters, water pump, oil pump gears, timing chain and gears)

If you are going to remove the heads. At least get them check for flatness. If they are out of spec, get them decked.

I'm just hoping there isn't block damage, warped cracked or dropped liners, I'm looking for a replacement 4.6 now, and I'll rebuild this one as a spare.
