Car shudders in 4th & 5h gear whne under load?

Car shudders in 4th & 5h gear whne under load?
Hi All
My 2000 2.0L diesel Freelander really shakes and shudders when you put it under load in 4th and 5th gear. If you draw out 3rd and drop it int 4th with a light throttle its ok, but if you try and use the torque of the engine it really shudders?
Ive removed the prop assembly but teh problem is still there. Any ideas on what this could be?
