97.5% chance your front drive shaft if failing.

Has it ever been replaced with a serviceable one?

If not address this quickly before it knocks a hole in your tranny.

You can either rebuild it (PITA) or get an aftermarket unit for under $300

I've got a touch of this faint warbling chirping as well. Worsens under load/torque. Rebuilding both drive shafts (new greaseable U-joints and centering ball) and keeping lubed with high-temp green stuff hasn't changed a thing.

Now, I don't rebuild driveshafts for a living, but all things considered, I'm inclined to suspect something else before doubting my work.

Dusty, a transmission mount will make a chirp like this?

usually just adds to vibration, but noise possible too. I was just trying to think of anything that would make noise while not moving. that is what you are saying? chirping while sitting idle? exhaust is another.
you can upload your video to youtube or something and give us a link.

Sorry, to clarify, mine only happens when moving and worsens under load such as ascending a hill. I'll have a look at the mounts anyway.
