I had LR of Alex inspect my recent acquisition - though the truck itself was from a private seller... got a 2004 Disco2 HSE
Did you deal with the service manager Chris?
Please keep us all informed of how things work out.
If you're posting up to twitter what's your acct name?
For my state inspection (for tags) I took mine to LR of Bethesda.
Nice chaps, though not sure how good they are as I've only used them for inspections

You're not being a downer! It is what it is...But I believe in the fighting the good fight.
I had been dealing with Chad in service - good guy. I spoke with Rusty today who is the head of Service. Service claims that they would have done the wheel alignment but Sales told them not to - it would cut into their profit margin. Apparently profit is more important than customer safety. Nice. Still, Service should have said something, no? A heads up even would have been nice. I don't know who to trust anymore. I can't believe this is Land Rover.
Anyways, I'm done with the Sales team. I'll give Rusty and Chad a chance. They said they will walk through the 140 with me and if they have to do it again they will. The big question for me now is can I trust them? Everyone deserves a chance right? We'll find out on Saturday.
Regardless of what they do on Saturday, I'm still taking the car to another mechanic afterwards just to make sure.
Twitter account is RoverGirl04. I know. It's cheesie. But I love my car!

I am facing the same problem with my car (Discovery 3 HSE 2006 model). The sweaky noise is not regular but comes when I am in the queueing traffic. When I take the leg from the acceleration pedal the sweaky noise starts but when you put the leg back on the brake the noise vanishes. I did take my car and show it to the 2 different dealers but as I couldn't reproduce they didn't solve the problem.
But last week I could reproduce the noise with one of the technician and they said that cleaning the brakes will solve the problem which will be done after couple of weeks as the service centre is fully busy now.
I am not sure when this problem will be solved but the noise was quite loud today and I am pretty worried. Also my LR warranty will end in next 3 weeks and I am pretty sure this will not be solved before that.
Any suggestions?
