Default squeaky noise inside the cabin near the back?

ok so nothing seriious but bugs the hell out of me when i am driving. i get a squeaky noise coming from inside the cabin on my 06 LR3, while driving down the road. its intermittent and doesnt happen all the time so i am baffled. pulled out the back floor boards, drove with the seats folded down, partially down, ets. checked everything and anything that could possibly be the cause and still not able to find it????/

Yes, annoying rattles from the back seats since it was new. The dealer said they fixed it, but did a terrible job putting it back together, did manage to keep the rattle though. The other problem is that the passenger side seat is stuck and will not release on the hinge as well now.

There is a lot of wiring in the floorboards, perhaps you can have someone drive it around while someone else tries to find the sounds, and pinpoint a spot.

I have an 08 LR3 and have what sounds like the same squeaking noise coming from the very back. Annoying as hell. Anyways, I rode in the back while someone else drove around, and I'm pretty sure it is coming from the tailgate latch. Can anyone confirm this or have any suggestions on getting it fixed?

Open the upper tailgate door. Look on both sides where the gas struts attach to the upper tailgate door. There are spring loaded wedges on both sides. They are not part of any electrical portion of the tailgate. They just keep tension on the upper tailgate alignment. You can move them back and forth with your fingers.

They squeak and rattle !!!!!
Spray White Lithium Grease (The kind in the spray can) inside of them and work the spring tensioner back and forth. Grease the heck out of them.....

White Lithium Grease is what should be used on all the latches and catches on the vehicle. Sunroof mechanism also.
