srs incline abs idiot lights afer head gasket?
After putting off the task for over a month, i finally finished my 2nd head gasket replacement (in the last 4 months) on my 02 disco...so far so good (12 hours and no coolant in oil).
I fired the truck up to take it for a "victory" lap only to find that I now have the "idiot" lights showing on the dash...SRS, Incline!, and Abs. I topped off the brake fluid but have no idea how to get the "incline !" off. (No I don't have the switch on). Any ideas? did my head gasket repair kill a sensor?
Where should I start?
Thanks,
Phil

I have a similar issue, I dont really want to start a new thread as its relevant and will make searching the forum easier if others have this problem...
96 disco, same exact problem (among others) new head gasket and now 'SRS' light is on, if its the low voltage do you think I should put the old alternator back on? I got another one free and put it on as I was told the alt I did have was going out.

SRS Light fix
cplthomas,
This is how I fixed my SRS light issue. Look under the drivers seat from the back. You will find a "pouch" (for lack of a better word) that is held in by velcro. When you open the "pouch", you will find a clear connector. Clean it really good and put some dielectric grease on it. Make sure you secure the velcro back.
Good Luck

Thanks for the responce. I did a search and found a few items of interest, one was what you just suggested. I think I have looked into it and to no avail. The other was this thread about the low voltage. I did however, change out the alternator while doing the head gasket change - I think I will put the old one back in and see if it works. I will look again at the pouch thing.
