Looked up P1843 in the RAVE. It doesn't point to anything in particular. just that moth M&S light up and the truck goes into limp mode. I will have to go through old threads and see what this can point to.

The battery should be ok, but I can get it checked out.

P1843 = Transmission Transfer Case Differential Lock-Up Feedback Switch Open Circuit. Only time I've ever seen that pop up was from a low battery or nasty terminals/grounds to be honest.

I'd bet on either the battery, alternator, or both. Only time i have run into MS lights flashing is low battery, and even if it was a low battery, alternator should keep it going so could be the alternator isn't putting out what it should.... I'd say run to the auto parts store and see if you can get them both stress tested.

Although not the same, I had the problem on a jeep where the battery was shot and unless you kept the RPM up, alternator couldn't pump out enough to keep the engine going and stalled, what a bitch to get home lol... After you start try and give it some gas and see if it stays running at a higher RPM
