Unhappy Stalling Out- Troubles Restarting

I came across an unusual problem the other night, I was driving home and my 03 Disco stalled. I tried restarting it and would just keep turning over but not fire. No problem, A friend came and picked me up and took me home, it was 2AM and Im not going to look at it on the road. The next morning I went to my truck and it fired right up, no problem drove it home. Later in the day I needed to get some groceries about 10miles away. I made it about 2 before stalling out again. Same problem after that, wouldnt start. Walked home called a friend and 30min later we decided to take a stroll and walk to my Disco. Jumped in and after sitting 2hrs, fired right up. Drove home and once again stalled but only 2 houses down. This is really frustrating and esp because I just did alot ALOT of work to it. (O2 sensors, catalytic converter, Head gasket, manifold gaskets) It took me 6 weeks to accomplish all with fitting in tidbits of time here and there. I want to Drive my Disco AGAIN!!! Please help with any insight. After looking thru a couple of posts there is mention of either fuel issues or that of a crank sensor? But i had a new fuel pump put in back in 08. My truck has 84k miles on it. Thanks again!!!!!

Yup could possible be a sensor/valve (let's hope!). Could be the Crank Shaft or Idle Air Control. Esp the way you are describing. I replaced an IAC valve on a old Ford Ranger, had somewhat the same symptoms. However, it never stalled though. Just a pain in the *** to start. hmmm

Those are classic symptoms of a crankshaft sensor.
Replaced mine @ 64,000 on my 2003 as preventative maintainance!

I bet that is the dealeo
