I finally got around to my head gasket job. I've got her all torn down and cleaned up. so I'm waiting for my guy to help me reinstall the heads, not really a thing I want to have one of those "learning experiences" on. here are some pics of everything all cleaned up. the valve covers are gold and the other parts I painted a cast iron color. also while I have it torn down I'm replaceing the tappets.

 

oh does anyone know what this is, there are 8 of them in the ab hg kit? It is a big rubber washer.

 

I'm not sure what they are for, but they are made for a different vehicle. I wish I had the time to clean and paint mine like that, it looks good.

 

all finished , just tring to get it all dialed back in.

 

Why gold for the valve covers? That is unique! though hopefully the paint job lasts. I went with a flat black on my 03 DII cuz thats what the old Disco's have..

Yes! i think my rig looks nice with Silver and Black esp with the black interior!

 

i wish my truck had the ebony leather instead of the tan. i love the ebony its awesome! you need some black rims.
