Default Starting issues now Code 44

Hello,
94/95 D1 with 99K.

A couple of days ago truck wouldn't start. Turn over, sputter a little then die. After a few hours it started up like nothing was wrong. Drove fine around the block. Same thing happened the next day but that time I opened the fuel pump access panel and noticed fuel pump was not turning on when starting. After a couple hours I tried again and this time pump came on and car started up. I went for the cheap fix and put in a new fuel pump relay. The next morning battery was dead (coincident?) After jumping it, then starting it up a couple times, check engine light came on with code 44. This whole time, I drove maybe 2 or 3 miles with probably a couple dozen cranks/starts. I know the code is for an O2 sensor, but I'm hoping its an error related to all the cranking/starting and not driving too far. Could the jump have done it?

No the jump start would not have set off the code.
Reset the CEL and wait and see.

Time to replace BOTH 02 sensors, it won't just go away.

Ok so here is where I am now: I reset the CEL. Now I'm getting RPM drops as I accelerate or just idle. Could the whole thing have been caused by a idle air control valve, throttle position sensor, or idle motor? My huge dilemma is that next monday I'm moving to NY from chicago and if the car can't be driven I have to get rid of it. From what I figure, any parts would have to be ordered Tuesday. Any fix ideas appreciated.

2 different issues, the 02's won't bounce your idle around.

Clean the throttle body, remove the stepper motor and clean it and the port that it goes into also.
