Starting Troubles - 2000 D2
Hey, first time posting here but use the information quite often and have finally ran into a problem on my 2000 D2 that we just cannot figure out and wanted to know if anyone has any information/feedback or solutions...
Left key in the on position for approx. 5 hours while the truck was not running, and it will now not start.
Battery is good, and it cranks over as usual. Pulled a plug and has compression. Sprayed starting fluid in throttle body and it fires right up. Checked fuel pump relay and it is functioning fine (testing on the bench), with one exception.
The ground terminal for the fuel pump relay is not grounding. Wrapped a wire around the terminal and placed it back in the fuse panel and grounded the wire. Relay functions fine. Fuel pump is running. Engine will still not fire. Fuel pump sounds a bit weak, so Im going to swap it out soon and see if that?s 1 of the issue?s. Anyone know why the fuse panel ground would not be working or any other pointers?
Thanks!

Did you check the fuel pressure on the rail? Sounds like a bad CPS - if it does not get a signal the CPS will not fire the injectors. Did you hit the reset button on the firewall on the passenger side?
