Default 1994 Discovery won't start after Fuel switch reset

Hey 1994 Discovery stalled out on me on Monday. 159,000 miles.
Discovered Fuel inertia switch tripped so I pressed the button and now the pump is whining.

However I still cannot get it started it just cranks and cranks but will not start.
I have ordered a fuel pump relay just in case but I am not sure what to do next.

Just seems like it is not getting fuel
Changed the fuel filter last weekend.

Have you checked the fuel pressure at the rail?
If the pump is making noise, it is most likely dying.

Fast forward......

I went down to the truck yesterday afternoon (Saturday)
I checked and rechecked everything..... I pulled the kick panel and noticed the main relay was hanging out and not on it's post (Refit that) I noticed the fuel pump relay get noticeably hotter than the main relay to the point I could use it as a hurricane burner.
(I do have a new Fuel pump relay on order from British Pacific)

Of note the fuel pump just makes the typical noise upon key turn (Few seconds then off) whine I guess you would call it......

However I checked the connections throughout the engine bay and noticed the Coil + lead (Electrical) had come off the terminal fingers crossed I refit that and went to turn the key

Voila!!!! It cranked right up I then ran it for 15 minutes and drove around close to my place to make sure it would not die....... Ran well!!!

Today I went off roading and it stalled only once on a back trail..... I waited 5 minutes and then started it again first shot...... Today I am going to tighten the Electrical connections on the coil (Crimp connectors seem to have loosened) I will just crimp them tighter and then recheck all the vacumn lines etc.....

I went to Auto Zone and had the alternator and battery load tested out of curiosity and they both passed strong (Guy said no problems there) so I am going to fit the new relay when I get it this week and I have a feeling that may do it. The fuel pump seems strong to me at least but I could be wrong here.... But my gut is telling me since the fuel pump relay is so hot more so than the main relay that it is failing intermittantly as the truck runs for 1/2 hour and it fails due to the temp.

I will report back.... then off to Sea Foam, do the plugs and wires.....

Thanks to Mike and the rest of this board I am saving a ton of money.
Plus getting the added benefit of becoming a Land rover fuel injection trainee!!!!!
